Their parks, their fairs, their theaters and bookstores; soccer stadiums, museums and coffees... they grant him a colorful inigualable. Buenos Aires contain neighborhoods of low houses with gardens and wide sidewalks; old neighborhoods with conventillos; luxurious neighborhoods with mansions of styles refined in the neighborhood of the Recoleta; big avenues and six terminals of train of great architectural value... Mendoza

The city is located in a desert plain that dominates almost the whole county. Mendoza is able to manufacture an oasis of great beauty and fertility amid an arid atmosphere. The inhabitants have an enormous conscience of the value that the water and the trees have in their lives. Taking advantage of their proximity with the mountain range, they take the thawing water and used it by drive her by means of canals until the city. The sidewalks of Mendoza are characterized by the canaletas, the trees that flank them and the luster of the tiles that seem recently waxed. Uspallata

Uspallata is the center of an attractiveness longitudinal valley, between the mountain range and the precordillera. It possesses a small oasis where fruits and vegetables are cultivated. A characteristic of Uspallata is its leafy vegetation.

Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 1 Buenos Aires
Transfer from international airport to Hotel.

City Tour: A three and a half hour sightseeing tour visiting the Plaza de Mayo, the Government House, the Cathedral, Columbus Square, La Boca district, San Martín Square, Santa Fé Avenue, Recoleta Cemetery, Grand Bourg Square, Palermo Chico district, Polo grounds, Horse Race Track, Palermo Park, Rose Garden, Libertador Avenue, Congress Hall, 9 de Julio Avenue, and the famous Colon Opera House.

Overnight at Alvear Palace Hotel.

Day 2: Buenos Aires / Mendoza
Breakfast and transfer to the domestic airport to take a flight from Buenos Aires to Mendoza.

Arrival in Mendoza and transfer from airport to hotel.

In the Afternoon City Tour around Mendoza City. Highlights like Pedro del Castillo Square, foundation place of Mendoza city in 1561. Foundational Area Museum visit: it shows the evolution and growth of the city. The tour continues visiting "Plaza Independencia" which is the mail square., Centro Cívico, Government House, General San Martín Square and Cerro de la Gloria with its magnificent monument of Juan Manuel Ferraris.

Day 3: Mendoza
Breakfast and free morning.

Wine route Excursion: The wine route excursion goes along vineyards areas and wine cellars. We will stop at the most important establishments. Inside them we will be given an explanation of the wine cellar history, the process of wine production and we will taste different wines produced in that wine cellar. The tour ends visiting La Carrodilla Church , National Monument due to have survived the earthquake of 1861 that destroyed Mendoza City. In this church people worship the virgin of vineyards.

Day 4: Mendoza / Uspallata
Breakfast, check-out of hotel and departure to High Mountain region that presents mountains, valleys and Gorges.A few km away from the city we will get to the first valley: Potrerillos. Full of weekend houses and with a spectacular dam over Mendoza river. The tour continues till we get to Uspallata. Next valley among mountains. Long time ago it was inhabited by Indians called Huarpes. The road penetrate the Andes. A show of spectacular colors will get in front of our eyes as a result of the minerals of the rocks. Visit to the historic bridge of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas. Form this point on we will really appreciate the main Andes with really high peaks like Tupungato (6.800 msnm), Tolosa (5432 msnm). The Ski Village of Los Penitentes. A natural beauty like Puente del Inca a bridge that join both sides of river Cuevas. Due to the water that spreads out at 40º grades centigrade this bridge has became ocre & yellow. Free lunch. Horcones Gorge and América's great attraction, Cº Aconcagua (6959 msnm) will be also be seen during the tour. During summer season we will be able to reach Cº Santa Elena (4200 msnm) where the image of "Cristo Redentor" stands up as a symbol of peace between Argentina & Chile.

Overnight at Gran Hotel Uspallata.

Day 5: Uspallata / Villa Unión
Breakfast and departure to Villa Unión. During this road we will get to know ruins of the Incas like Tambillo. The Inca's way used to reach up to this place. After 90 kms we will reach Barreal located at the feet of the range mountain call "Mercedario". Co Alcázar is a natural monument that the wind shaped. The name resemble its similarity to the Alcazar of Sevilla, Spain. A few kilometers forward we will get to Calingasta, known as "the apple land" (“La tierra de los manzanos”), this area is well know for it's apples very well sela in the market. Other valleys will be seen along our way like Villa Corral, Tocota,Iglesias, Las Flores, Dique Cuesta del Viento, Jachal.
After Los Cauquenes dam and Cuesta de Huaco we will arrive in Villa Unión where we will spend the night.

Day 6: Villa Unión
TALAMPAYA NATIONAL PARK - ISCHIGUALASTO PROVINCIAL PARK (VALLE DE LA LUNA )

Talampaya is a park with a high degree of archaeology and paleontology richness where the visitor may imagine that life on earth started. To get to this barren region you must travel along provincial route Nº 26 between Valle Fértil in San Juan and Villa Unión in La Rioja , and after a 15 km . deviation, get to the information center of Talampaya National Park. Local guides will give you information on different circuits. In the site there are sanitary facilities and buffet. In Talampaya National Park there is a canyon where time seems to have stopped, in a geography that goes back to the times of dinosaurs and the red color of walls, and the earth reminds us of the era of fire. Petrogliphs here are an evidence of the first manifestations of man in the area. As you travel you may see foxes wandering for food, because even though they are not domesticated animals, they are used to human presence and to get quite near to people. You may access in a 4x4 vehicle accompanied by a guide of the park, or hire the service to fully enjoy any of the circuits you choose to do. The shortest outings are about an hour and a half long, and others are whole day excursions.

Valle de La Luna Provincial Park is a clay formation with a great variety of colors and shapes, slopes with many layers of minerals and sediments that let you clearly see the evolution of Earth. Nobody would have thought that a huge lake surrounded by thick vegetation where a great variety of species grew and where the breeding of many animals flourished, would currently be a great desert with little rains, strong winds and high temperatures. Fortunately, not everything has disappeared- an ancestor's footsteps appear step by step. Vestiges of vegetal and animal life spring from the ground letting you know and learn more about the origin of life on this planet. Also known as Ischigualasto, meaning “Place where the Moon alights ” in Quechua language, the park is a place where the world is summarized. You will have the sensation of attending the best Geography lesson you have ever done even when you do not hear a word or read any booklet or specialized book. As you go around the area, you will observe how the combination of the erosion caused by water and wind carves different shapes day after day where man has naturally looked for a special meaning by means of comparing them to those previously known.

Return to Valle Fertil.

Day 7: Valle Fertil / Mendoza / Buenos Aires
Breakfast and transfer To Mendoza airport. 400 km along a way bordering the sloaps of "Valee Fertil”.

Flight from Mendoza to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires and transfer to hotel.

Dinner and Tango Show at Esquina Carlos Gardel. The Tango is part of the typical music of Buenos Aires. This tour will be to enjoy a special "porteña" music night at one of the excellent tango places, where typical songs and dances are performed.

Overnight at Alvear Palace Hotel.

Day 8: Buenos Aires
Breakfast and transfer to Buenos Aires International Airport.
