Our licensed drivers provide transportation to and from the Home-Base, which is your safe, comfortable place to stay while in Brazil. The Home-base in Salvador is a large house located in the middle-class neighborhood of Ondina. To make your stay even more enjoyable, there is a small swimming pool, and many other features including a common room, kitchen, and dining area. Each bedroom sleeps three to four participants. Mealtime at the Home-Base is an exciting time to enjoy indigenous foods provided by local cooks, as well as to share stories from the day with new friends. Cuisine includes typical Brazilian dishes, such as arroz e feijao (rice and beans) or more traditional Bahian dishes like caruru (a stew of vegetables and shrimp), or acaraje (the Bahian sandwich). The Home-Base is within walking distance of local banks, shops and an Internet café, as well as one of Salvador's beautiful beaches.
