Atacama Desert

The Atacama Desert is located on the north part of Chile, between the Cordillera de Los Andes and the Pacific Ocean, and extends its territory for over 1.000 km. It is consireded the dryest desert of the world. Cities located in this territory are: Arica, Iquique, Calama, Antofagasta and Copiapó. The northern part of Chile is ideal for ecotourism, and the diversity of circuits will leave you with a sense of pleasure and enjoyment.

Patagonia

This region stretches out from the southern part of Puerto Montt to the Island of Tierra del Fuego. The colonization period was long and dangerous, due to the extreme weather conditions. The rain season, the low temperatures and the cold wind, makes this part of the world one of the hardest and severe places to live. Due to its conditions, it is often called the "green desert", name given by the explorer Charles Darwin.

Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 1

Punta Arenas / Puerto Natales
Reception and assistance in Punta Arenas. You will pass bordering the Estrecho of Magallanes and the Pampa Patagonica. By the way you will visit the Seno Otway where you can see penguins in mating season from October to March. You will continue to Puerto Natales and accommodation at the Glaciares Hotel.

Day 2

Puerto Natales / Torres del Paine
Excursion and tour to the National Park "Torres del Paine". By the way, visiting the famous Milodon's Cave, where the rest of this prehistoric animal (12.000 years ago) was founded. The Park is wonderful lodge of local and native flora and fauna, where animals like: condors, guanacos, ñandues and others, may be seen and photographed. You will visit lakes like: Amarga, Nordenskjold, Pehoe, Toro and Grey. Return to the same hotel.

Day 3

Puerto Natales / Navigation / Punta Arenas
Navigation on the "Last Hope" fjords, for to visit Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers. Return to Puerto Natales at 05.00pm. Reception at the local pier and transfer to Punta Arenas. Lodging at the Los Navegantes hotel.

Day 4

Day 5

San Pedro de Atacama
During the morning you will visit the Salar de Atacama, then the Toconao town, Jerez and Lagunas of Chaxa. In the afternoon, you will know the Archeological Museum of San Pedro and the Pukara of Quitor Fortress. Back to Hotel.

Day 6

San Pedro / Geysers del Tatio / Calama
The day of excursion starts at 04.00am, to allow sufficient time to arrive at the Geysers at an altitude of 4.150 meters.Breakfast in this place, and then, return to Calama. By the way, you will visit the typical towns like Caspana and Chiu Chiu, then Pukara of Lasana.
Transfer to the Calama's airport.

Day 7

End of the trip.
